BTRT
Financial Services has 14 employees with over 30 years’ combined experience in
the funeral industry. The plan is to increase staff complement to 20 in the
first two years. We employ the following:

One of the Directors, is a dedicated, reliable, and professional leader. He has wealth of experience
in the financial services industry.
He has a BCOM degree, MDP, MBA and
Post Graduate Certificate in Pension law as well as several management
certificates. He started his career in the Pension Funds space as a trustee and
an Administrator for a self-administered fund at (UNIBO Pension Fund) now known
as Northwest University Pension Fund.
He
later joined Jacques Malan Consultants and Actuaries as Employee Benefits
Consultant. He established Jacques Malan Botswana and became a Director for the
Botswana operation.
He later joined
Absa Consultants & Actuaries in 2005 till 2007 as Manager Client Services
to manage a portfolio of about 12 clients, where he offered advisory services
and secretariat to Pension Funds. He was
appointed by Anglo Platinum as Amplats Group Provident Principal Executive
Officer. The fund had 42 000 members and
R3 billion in assets. He helped the fund to develop policies, risk management
and a newsletter. He was nominated and became the winner for the best Fund
communicating to members at the 2009 (IRF) Institute of Retirement Fund
conference.
In
2011, He was appointed Chief Operations Officer at Mineworkers Provident
Fund where is helped to set -up operation and managed to migrate the fund to a
fully operational self-admiration platform.
He subsequently joined SAMWU National
Provident Fund as Head of Operations in 2014. He resigned after two years to
become the Group CEO of the B3 Insurance Brokers and Funeral Services Group in
2016 where he gained more experience to manage a funeral parlour. In 2018 he was recruited to De Beers Pension Fund and Medical Scheme as the
Principal Officer for both Organizations.
